what does freelance marketing services (fms) do?
Bristol-based, Karen Norman is fms’s freelance marketer specialising in subscriptions, membership and loyalty marketing – acquring customers, keeping customers and identifying revenue streams from them. Subscribers, members and loyal customers are increasingly important in many industries. These include; magazine publishing, professional associations and institutes, education, online communities, lifestyle clubs and charities, as well as commerical organisations looking to increase loyal customer retention. Well managed subscribers or members strengthen your brand, are a valuable asset and also provide a predictable and consistent revenue stream that can decrease pressure on other areas of the business. For example, in publishing the increasing pressure on retail space means that magazines are evermore reliant on subscriptions for circulation and revenue, also online communities generating revenue from site members decreases the pressure on advertising sales.
Karen is a direct marketing expert with a wealth of experience in direct and digital marketing, statistics and copywriting; these skills are the key to successful subscriptions, membership and loyalty marketing. She works with you to: identify audience segments; tailor a message for that audience; craft a compelling offer; roll out using both offline (e.g. direct mail, telemarketing) and online marketing techniques (e.g. direct email, viral, SEO and PPC); and test and appraise the campaigns.
how does fms work with you?
Karen works with your organisation to not only advise on the best marketing course of action for your business or product, but also applies an involved and hands-on approach to delivering the marketing plan. She works within your organisation – essentially becoming part of the team to a greater or lesser extent depending on your organisation’s needs at that time. This approach allows you to use your budgets more flexibly than you would if employing a full-time, permanent member of staff. This flexibility is particularly important to many organisations in light of planning for economic instability over the coming years.
